Calculator doesn't open

Although it's been working up till now, Calculator won't open.  It shows in Applications and in the Dock, but when I click on it, nothing happens.  The Menu shows up, but nothing happens when an item is clicked. 


 


Any suggestions will be gladly accepted.

    After six days of not working, Calculator began working again. ????


     


    However, Calendar on my MBP disappeared completely. It isn't in Applications anymore.  Somehow, it must have been deleted. ????

    Sounds like it might be time for an OS reinstall (you probably don't need to do a clean one, but you could).

    This could have happened because of some OS file which might be missing did you do an improper shutdown which caused certain file to delete it may be working now because it has recovered the lost file.
