Just got iDVD2......problems.....

Crashed 30 minutes into burning a DVD. Anyone else have this problem? I also noticed it is a bit slower than 2

    General discussion of the iLife programs goes in Digital Hub. Specific tech support threads go to Genius Bar. This sounds more like the latter; so, it's moving there...



    That said, can you offer any more details pertaining to the crash? Does it happen every time at 30 minutes? What other programs are you running when it crashes? et cetera.

    I just burnt two DVDs with iDVD 3. No problems.

    have you iDVD 3 or 2 ?

    The thread title is a little bit confusing because you state in your post that 'it is slower than 2' ? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    Sorry I should have been more specific. I just installed ilife, but when I tried to burn a dvd, it crashed about 40 minutes into the process. I tried it agan 3 times, and every time it crashed around the same point (the 40 min mark). I never had this problem in idvd 2. I have tried closing every program and then burning, but it still crashed. Any ideas? Thanks

    is there something special 40 min in your movie ? like a special sound effect or a chapter mark or something different ?

    Not really. The DVD is just a bunch of slide shows and music. There is no digital video. I have burned this disc before in iDVD2 with no problems whatsoever. However, when I have yet to do it successfully in iDVD3.

    Ok so I tried to burn the tutorial and it worked fine, but I still cannot burn the project I created. Does this means there is some sort of file corruption? If so, then how could I burn the disc in idvd2? Please help.
