Drag & Drop Applescript

Ok, I've never used applescript before so bear with me. I want to write a script for converting a bunch of jpeg files into PDF. Since you can't script Preview, can you use AppleWorks to open a bunch of files, and then print then choose "Print to PDF"? I just wanna know if this is possible. Can anyone give me some direction on how to do this. (BTW, one of those Drag and Drop things would be preferable).
