    Sounds like new hardware isn't going to be that far off and there trying to run down stock.

    Well Win 8 tablets instantly took a bigger percentage of the tablet market than Windows Phone has of the phone market. And the surface rt tablets have massively outsold Googles Chromebooks based in web traffic. Really depends on who's opinion you read as to if its a success.
