I for one don't like the new photos app.  I spent a lot of time setting up events in iPhoto only to have them be irrelevant in iOS 7.

So Apple should cripple, handicap, and basically not make the photos app as great as it can be, simply because of the usage scenario of a tiny, tiny minority like yourself? The vast majority don't, and will never set up events in iPhoto and sync them back to the phone. The new photos app looks to be a massive improvement for 99% of people who take photos with their iPhones.

Gotta love people who demand that Apple stifle progress because of inane reasons like the above.

Or take five seconds to see that you're completely wrong.

How did your apps work after the upgrade? No issues?

This is a beta. Do not install it if you have to ask this question.

My only critique of iOS7 is that of the typography. It looks too much like Android for starters. That and it is too thin. Makes it hard to read the interface a tad...I appreciate the bolder font usage in 6 and previous. Too bad you couldn't get an option to 'bold' the type. Other than that I like the other UX/UI changes they've made
