Bluetooth File Exchange Problem...

I'm trying to send a picture from my TiBook to my T68i (one of the backgrounds they have over on O'Grady's). I saved the image I want to my HDD, and dragged it to the Bluetooth File Excahnge program. I get an error message saying "An error has occured: Unable to read services from device." It is seeing my phone. When I click "search," "T68i" does show up, I click on it and then click send but I get the error message.

I am pretty ssure I have my phone set up right: I go to "connect" then click on "receive item" and it says "ready to receive via infrared and bluetooth and the Bluetoth icon is on the Phone's screen and the little blue light is blinking.

I don't think the phone is broke b/c I have synced my calendars and address books using iSync...

What am I doing wrong? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

also you may want to verify that that 'service' is on. In the Bluetooth Control Panle, you have activate certain functions on the device, etc.

Forget about bluetooth file exchange app

Get Ericsson Client, trust me, (available on versiontracker).

You can send ring tones, templates, pictures, etc. plus it will give u info about your phone as well.

Also u may be interested in T68 theme edit, it will allow you to create themes that can be uploaded to your t68. cool.

Forgot to mention, in preferences set up Serial port as bluetooth modem.

I d/l'ed the Ericcson Client, but it isn't seeing my phone either...I did set it to Bluetooth Modem, and I made my phone discoverable. Ugh...I wish it were easy.

    OK

    Let's verify few things:

    1. You can pair t68i with your Ti.

Try to use iSync, does it work?

Does bluetooth comminication icon is displayed on your t68?

If it does, then launch ericsson client.

It will search for your phone and detect it.

If it doesn't ...how are your ports configured (bluetooth pref panel)?

In my case i have my phone paired with TiBook, then just launch the client, it finds the phone without any probs.

If u need more help, post back and i will take screenshots 4 u, so you can just copy my settings :-)

    Thanks for your help woz!

Yes, I can pair the phone with my TiBook.

I have used iSync for my ical and address book and it worked flawlessly.

The bluetooth icon is displayed on the screen, and the little blue light on the upper right hand corner of the phone is blinking.

    Ericsson client is perpetually "scanning..."

The Bluetooth dongle is working and blinking. Itis NOT the one they sell on apple.com, it is a Belkin I got at CompUSa though I wouldn't think that would make a difference since it did work w/ iSync. I do have it plugged into one of the USB ports on my external keyboard, though again I don't thik that matters since it worked with iSync.

It has to be a problem on the phone's end. I have tried "discoverable" mode as well as "receive item" mode where I get the infrared icon as well as the Bluetooth icon on the phone's screen.

The Ericsson client is definetly set on "Bluetooth-Modem" in the prefs pannel.

Like I said it has to be something on the phone's end...
