Is there any way to connect to Frontpage Servers
So here's the technical connundrum of the week. Those of you who use Windoze know that there is a way to connect to frontpage servers without using fronpage, specifically by making a "my network place" for that server.
So what I want to know is how, if possible, to do this using Mac OS X's windows networking. I've been able to use SMB to get my mac to look for the windows server, but it always fails with error -36 even though I put in my correct account information (username & password). I've also tried any number of connection variations using both ip address and full name of the server, specifying the path to my directory and leaving it empty, etc.
Am I barking up the wrong tree with SMB? Is there any other way to do this (short of Virtual PC, which I've been doing but is incredibly cumbersome and slow)? Is there NO other way to do this? What's amazing is that no amount of research I've done here has led to any definitive conclusions one way or another? Anybody know?
