10.2.4 = Messed up displays prefs

When I upgraded to 10.2.4, it reset my monitor to 800 x 600. I went back into the displys preferences, and put it back where I like it (1280x960), but I no longer have all of the choices I used to have. I used to be able to set it to (I think these were the options) 65, 70, 75, and 80Hz. But now I have no options there. All I can set it to is 1280x960 with mystery Hz. But by the looks of it, it is something pretty freaking low. I am about to have a seizure here. Anyone know what I can do about this?
