Did I fry my Superdrive???
I have a dual 867 MDD Powermac with a combo drive and a superdrive (A05) that I installed myself. Everything worked fine until I had a little mishap.
I had headphones plugged into the front of the computer, and accidentally tripped over the cord. This jerked on the cord and made the computer "hiccup" into sleep mode. When I woke up the computer my superdrive was gone. Still has power. Still have the combo drive working fine. I tried disconnecting the combo drive and swapping the IDE cable. No luck.
Do I give up? Anyone have any ideas? Should I send it back saying it "just stopped working?"
Thanks. <img src="graemlins/bugeye.gif" border="0" alt="[Skeptical]" />
