I've been having some issue with my new PB 1G/Combo and TDK 80min CD-Rs. About 30% or so of the time it will not recognise the disc, spend about a minute or two trying to read it, then eject it. I was figuring maybe I got a bad batch/spindle of discs, since I've never had issues with TDK before in the several years I've been using them, but then I tried the discs the PB failed to read in my PC and they work fine (Plextor 12/4/32 SCSI).
The PowerBook has a "Matshita CD-RW CW-8121" Drive. Firmware Version "AA21 / MMC-3"
Are these drive just very sensitve?
Is there any known compatibility issues with the TDK discs?
TDK's have worked great for me over the past several years, but I'm not religious over them, so if another brand is known to work better I'll switch.
Just looking for anyone with the same experiance, and some advise...
