Is file/folder sharing in OS X still a work in progress?
I just spent the better part of the afternoon trying to figure out how to give a co-worker access to my Music folder via the network without letting him see my entire home directory. I finally gave up and option-copied the specific songs he wanted to listen to into the Public folder.
Is there a better way to do this?

I created a computer-to-computer network, and he was able to see it listed in his Airport menu, but when he selected it nothing happened. I expected to at least see a list of shares pop-up for him to select. All of the documentation for this feature I found at apple.com seemed to be for OS 9.
