According to a recently discovered job posting, Apple is seeking an "iTunes Canada Music Programmer," suggesting the company may be close to releasing the service in that country sometime soon.

iTunes Radio

Posted to the Jobs at Apple website, the advertisement is clearly seeking someone who will handle iTunes Radio programming in Canada, where the service has yet to be officially launched.

In the highly detailed job description, posted on Tuesday and discovered on Friday, Apple asks for a Toronto-based candidate who can "execute the programming of iTunes Radio in Canada." They will also be in charge of featuring new releases and content across iTunes Radio's multiple stations, identifying new songs, and manage weekly scheduling, among other duties.

The post also mentions the promotion of upcoming albums, or pre-release streaming, which Apple's SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue recently revealed would be a future feature for iTunes Radio.

From the job description:
The Canadian Music Programmer will be an editorial voice of iTunes Radio, and will be responsible for keeping the product current. This person must have a passion for and deep knowledge of music across numerous genres and decades, and must demonstrate the ability to objectively program content relevant to iTunes customers. This will include deciding what music to feature on all iTunes Radio stations, entering music into the content management system, and creating seasonal and relevant editorial collections. It will require this person to decipher the most relevant mix of songs in particular genres.
Currently, iTunes Radio is available only to U.S. residents, though Apple plans to roll out the music streaming service to over 100 countries. The company has not offered a rollout timeline, though Tuesday's job posting is evidence that it is actively working to expand the service.
