Running Dave 4.0

Hey guys. I have Dave 4.0 running on OS 9.2.2. Network connection with Windows XP is possible, but I lose the connection when the Internet Connection Firewall is activated on XP. Anyway to keep the Firewall activated and still maintain a network connection?



Anybody have Dave 4.0 running on OS X?

    On XP machine: open properties for the network connection that is active. Click on Advanced tab. "Protect...firewall..." should be clicked. Press the 'Settings' button at the bottom. Press 'Add' button at the botton. Enter the following info:

    Description: Dave (or whatever)

    Name or IP...: name of your computer

    External port: whatever port Dave runs on

    Internal port: whatever port Dave runs on



    should work.



    Addition: From Thursby's website: DAVE will work with firewall software if the software is configured to allow traffic to and from the ports DAVE uses. DAVE uses ports 137, 138, 139 using TCP and UDP
