Apple Iphone sync dock for 5c

Why have apple made a new sync doc for the 5c that cannot be connected with a case on it not even the Apple iPhone case?

and can anyone tell me of any makes of docks that take the 5c with a case attached

    Because the phones aren’t meant to be used in cases.

    This one. DEFINITELY GET THE BACKPLATE. It doesn’t come standard, and I don’t want people on here whining about how “Apple” broke their lightning connector off. :grumble: 

     

    And, really, the thought of the phone standing there bare should terrify people.
