no landscape mode

New 5s 16 gb is stuck in portrait mode.  No amount of twisting or turning will get it to the landscape mode.  Anybody know if this is a frequent complaint for the 5s?

    Found orientation lock, it was off.  I turned it on and off again and now I have landscape mode.  Thanks
