New Macbook pro 13" - good enough for serious photo edits?

I use Aperture to edit raw format photos, typically 24 mb ones - and often larger if also run through i.e. Nik software (which makes the files into TIFF).

Will a new Macbook pro 13" with 8 gb ram be enough for me to do this smoothly (!) - or will I need the 15" in any configuration?

On a side note: will the new MBP 13" support two external monitors (24 dell) without any problems?

Thanks for any tips on this

Michael

I've been using my MacBook Pro Retina 13" 2.4Ghz 256GB SSD and 8GB Flash Ram....  no issues editing pretty large videos.  I've not seen a single hick up and the rendering has been pretty fast.  I couldn't be happier.

I usually buy these things maxed out, but I really didn't buy this model for that purpose, but have been using it for it.
