airport monitoring

i have been playing around with my new base station and my tibook but have not been able to figure out how i can monitor who might be sharing the base station if i dont require a password.

i was out in the neighborhood and saw some people had networks that were open. i used these for awhile but started wondering 1) if they can see that i am using their station and 2) what name shows up - my computer name or what

thanks for the help

The AirPort Admin Utility in OS 9 used to have something like this. It would show you the signal strength of all connected clients in order to help you find optimal placement for the access point.
