will this work for better 3d work

I am a photographer that needs to( composite) 3d now and then into my work. I use a 27imac( 2009) for my work and for 2d it is perfect but the 3d part can be very poor from a Vcard redraw issue. The Vcard that apple puts in these suck unfortunately..wish the didn't but...anyhoo..

The imac has rear mini monitor port( if that is what they are called)...will..or can I build a PC and then use the imac screen using this port with the Apple Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter.

I used to have a macpro and I did this and it worked...

wishful thinking..:)

thanks

Nope. Only with a 2010 and up.

Sounds like you should get a new iMac rather than build a PC.

that sucks..but thanks for the info...whats the difference from 2009 to 2010 that allows this? and are the new Vcards in the newest Imacs any better?
