I don't care to sync. I just want to be able to drag and drop. With the new iTunes update you can't drag and drop. Everything is highlight out. Even with Tinker Tool you can no longer drag and drop like the previous iTunes version. Doe's anybody know how to get around this. I have 3 macs....but with the stupid library methodologies in place, Apple is forcing me to choose one. NO!

Please help.

So am I to understand that using Tinkertool, and showing hidden files will no longer allow you to drop .mp3 files directly onto the iPod's drive icon..

I don't have a 'Pod, but this is what i hear

you could use an app like <a href="http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=12731&db=mac"; target="_blank">xPod</a> for the second library. There are some others like it as well. Lots of good info over at <a href="http://www.ipodlounge.com/"; target="_blank">The iPod Lounge</a>.

Just tell the iPod to manually sync when you connect to iTunes. You know, using the iPod button that shows up in the bottom of the window say "manually select songs and playlists" or something like that. You can drag things from iTunes to the iPod, but not back. So I guess it only half solves your problem <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
