Apple only charged me $49 for my 10 Gig iPod!
I ordered about 2 weeks ago from the online store an Epson printer, iMac, and iPod from the Apple store, well the printer has been shipped to me and $99 was charged on my debit card, and I just received notice of my 10 Gig iPod shipping, however, only $49.95 was charged by Apple the day that I received my shipment notification! Could this be all the good karma coming back tome? Or is Apple going to charge me for the rest of it later??

Apple has stolen a lot of money from a much too loyal base -- stick it to them if you can. When they start offering properly priced and spec'd products in a timely fashion, I'll advocate paying full price.

<strong>So long as you have a receipt (and the credit statement probably qualifies) that says the purcase price was 49 dollars and that you paid it in full, you don't have to worry. Cancelling the card will make sure that they don't try and 'fix' their mistake once they catch it. They probably give up after that since it is their error.

Wow. At first I thought your opinion was merely reprehensible, but now I'm convinced it's despicable.
If you think Apple's products are that overpriced, Matsu, why not just hold up a 7-11 to pay for a new TiBook? After all, that Super Big Gulp has about $0.04 of soda in a $0.80 cup. They've been ripping people off for YEARS! And theft is justifiable, so long as you have some kind of half-assed vague grievance.
Stay tuned to this board for Matsu's Seal of Approval for when Apple starts releasing products which are good enough not to justify stealing from them.

It should be noted that if both the buyer and seller agreed on the price of the item, it's a legit transaction. Even if the d buyer thinks the price is too much.
If the buyer don't agree on the price, then there should be NO transaction at all!
Unless of course, the seller forced the buyer in a very very VERY forceful way the buyer the product that was offered to sell.
In regard of the $49 iPod.
If you're paying only $49 for a product sold for $399 and you agreed on paying it for $399, maybe you should contact the seller to make sure whether or not the rest $350 should be paid or not.
However, if they decided to let you just pay only $49, consider it as a 75% discount! LOL!
Just make sure that they won't decide to change their mind in the future. For a tip to avoid on how they will get you should they decided to change their mind in the future, consider Matsu's advice, pay your balance and cancel your card.

All things shipped should contain a bill of sale/bill of exchange/bill of laiden/shipping order/receipt or some kind of acknowledgement of what the box/carton/crate contains and how it was or will be paid for.
If you received another form of notification, it is meaningless unless it indicates Paid in Full or balance $0 for the item. If it does not then they can still bill you for the balance. If it does than it is a billing error made in your favor.
it is so sorry to see that people are gleeful if in fact they were undercharged. it is even sadder that they report this type of behviour in an open forum.

My girlfriend gave me her ATM card in case she loses hers and asked me to grab her $40 bucks from the ATM machine while on the way to pick her up from work.
So I drop by the bank, go up to the counter, and low and behold, the machine was fricken active! The card was in the slot, and the menu was showing all the options. Curiousity got me and I clicked on Account balance...
You know, only 15,000 in checking and 20,000 in savings.
Looking back on the situation, I didn't even consider withdrawing any cash. I immediately ejected the card, took it into the bank, and gave it to the banker. She totally thanked me and I went off to withdraw the cash like my girlfriend asked me.
I would hate to see what some people would have done in that situation. I am pretty sure if someone else was in my position and tried to withdrawl they probably would have been caught. I think that the videocamera takes pics so it wouldn't have a problem at all figuring out who I was and etc. Right??
Stealing from your girlfriend, or anybody, is wrong.
Stealing from Apple and the like is more like re-dressing the karmic balance.

Just out of curiosity. Did you order .mac as well ? I did that same mistake. I orderes some games and Jaguar, 2 days after ordering .mac. When my games shipped at the prize of $60, i checked my account balance, and saw that 49.95 had beem deducted. I thought this was some kind of error, and therefore called Apple.
Boy did I feel stupid when they told me that the $50 was for .mac, and that they hadn't charged me for the games yet...
