OK. A friend of mine's parents want to be able to videoconference with him when he goes away to college.
What would be the best solution in terms of hardware and software for this?
(please, no rumors about apple providing such a service... -they want me to install it before school starts (15 days) - so if apple does provide a way to do it, it will be too late anyway)
they have a rev. B iMac at home and a 600 Mhz iMac at college...

and
<a href="http://www.orangemicro.com/ibot.html" target="_blank">iBot</a>
both have a videoconferencing software included.
now, both of these cams use firewire.... the iMac only has USB.... are there any usb products that will work (decently)?
Also, will a broadband connection be necessary? They currently have Dialup and while video will be hard to transfer... I think they only want to be able to SEE their son, I dont think my friend could care less about seeing them (IE the modem would only probaby have to download a lot of data rather then transmit it...)

Broadband is highly recommended, but not necessarily.
