'New' 5g ipod earbuds

None of the stores I call have the same answer. Does the "new" 5G ipod come with the new smaller earbuds?? It DOES have a different part #, so there must be SOMETHING different about it. Has anyone bought a 5G in the new box??

<img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laughing]" /> Your answer is pretty similar to the one I got from the apple store! They said they hadn't had any of the new 5's out of the box, so weren't sure. I am planning on buying a 5, but all of my local stores still only have the old model, and those earbuds are WAY too big for me. IF the new one comes with the smaller buds, then I will wait, if not, I want to buy now and I'll just get new earbuds - I can't wait much longer!!

    Thanks psantora!! I appreciate it!

AFAIK the new ones have all the old stuff with them.

i could be wrong, but i think Steve went over that in the keynote. something about the "new" 10 GB and 20 GB coming with all this different stuff, including no wheel, new earphones, different dimensions etc.

i believe the old 5 GB ones will have the old earphones, but i'm not 100% sure.

well i talked to her.... and based on a limited AIM convo about the subject it seems that they are the "old" earbuds....

IMHO you are better off with the 10 giger anyway... i mean for $100 you get a $40 case, a $40 remote, the "new earphones" AND 2x the space for MP3s...

Just cause Apple charges $40, doesnt mean theyre worth that . Quite frankly, I just want an old 10G'er. It's only $50 more than the 5G, twice as big, plus you get the old wheel ( )

Apple's earbuds sucks anyway, I'm already on my third pair.

When I get some money over I'll buy something from Sennheiser.
