AppleStore lists Server G4 memory speed
I've just noticed that the AppleStore lists the speed of the Server G4's memory as PC-133, whereas there is no mention of the memory speed on the Power Mac G4.
For how long has the AppleStore listed the speed of the Server G4's memory? Has this been introduced recently?
If so, would this suggest that future server products will have a different memory spec., and that listing the memory speed will allow purchasers to differentiate between the various products?

excepting some minor differences the G4 server is the same machine than the G4 tower. There is no ECC memory in the G4 server, if it's what you are refering to. So like the G4 the G4 server use the same type of memory.
And you should post this in a different forum like the general discussion.
Maybe it's an indication that a FUTURE server product is about to be announced, and that flagging the speed of the memory allows you to differentiate between the products:
'Oh that's the one with PC-133 memory, not the new one?"
There's nothing exciting about that discovery, even if it's been newly added.
The only thing it tells you is that the rackmounts may not have 133MHz SDRAM, and that was everyone's guess anyway.
