iTunes--File not found

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
Well, every once in a while in my iTunes library i get a bunch of files that have an ! with a grey circle around it in the leftmost column and i need to get info on them and then search for the MP3 for iTunes to recognize it again...



why is this happening?



Is anyone else having this problem?



Is it a problem with iTunes or my computer?



something must be getting corrupted somewhere, but in OS 9 i never had this problem...

    I've had this problem too. The mp3's just disappeared from my HD. I couldn't find them anywhere. I had to reencode them. The thing is, I KNOW that I did have them at one point because they're sitting on my iPod (until I connect and then they go too). Very strange. I can't recall when it first started happening, but I know it was just recently. :/

    the mp3s dont dissapear... I just have to search for them before they can play again they are still on my HD tho
