thinking of getting my girls either iPods or PDAs for x-mas.....if you could iSync the address book and iCal, then it would be a no brainer...add 3 or 4 simple games and the iPod would be a complete substitute for an entry pda that also stored a shit load of music.....is there calender and address software that works on the iPod currently? will apple add this ability? thanks g

The iPod already has a built-in calendar and address book. iSync can synchronize them with your Mac. See <a href="http://www.apple.com/ipod/extras.html"; target="_blank">iPod - Extras</a>.

What he said. It works almost flawlessly (no todo syncs, some problems with repeating events).

gelding, with it's current software build (1.2.1) the iPod has gained a Contacts area and a Calendar. If you already have an iPod, the update is a free download from Apple. You can either manually drag this information onto the iPod (into the special "Contacts" and "Calendar" folders, or have it all happen automatically with iSync.
