this woman at my work had one that she didn't use anymore, and asked me if i'd be interested. i'll have to play around with it now and see what it can do. i always wanted one of these (about 5 years ago). i guess good things come to those who wait, although it's not quite as cool now.

ok, after looking around it appears they're going for a good price, even now, so i think i'm going to sell it.

this one has the four AA battery thing, and is in mint condition. i also have a leather carrying case for it, and a keyboard. anyone know approx. what i should expect for it off e-bay? i've sold there before, so i have some history, and it was for items worth a lot more than a Newton.

only $150 with a day left. could be a great bargain for someone.

ha ha, shamelessly plugging your own auctions is fun.

what happens to these newtons when apple goes os x only?? perhaps when that day comes (soon) apple will release a new newton....iNew, Newton X....g

looks like a nice deal "mighty genitals"....but we only run os X here, so i must wait a while longer...might have to take a peek at that palm zire or whatever belle is talking about....

looks like you're not comfortable with the newton, eh?

you can do the following things with the newton under Mac OS 10:

? sync the newton with your adressbook (over serial, TCP/IP or Aiport)

? surf the net wirelessly while using your mac as basestation

? download packages to the newton

? listen to mp3 radio stations wirelessly on your newton

    ? play movies, mp3's

    ? use PC ATA cards

    ? and so on.

    death platform?
