iMovie...need some info

Hi all.....how many min do you get out of 1GB of hd space when you import a DV clip on to your hd..how many min can you keep in 1GB? I got 40GB free to play around with and would like to know how many hours or min i can edit on it.

    1 GB ± 5 minutes; a 60 min DV tape ± 13 GB

    Also, the iMovie help file reads:



    "One minute of DV footage uses about 220 MB of hard disk space"



    So, you can use that to gauge more specific sizes.
