SyncML: I will not be defeated

Right: there's no .Mac SyncML server and no way to sync iCal with the T68 or P800 over the air.

Now: <a href="http://www.starfish.com"; target="_blank">www.starfish.com</a> and <a href="http://www.weblicon.com"; target="_blank">www.weblicon.com</a> have public (kind of, they're free) SyncML servers.

Step 1: Get the phone syncing with these. Not worked this out yet but some people have.

Step 2: Work out some way of getting .ics / iCal export into the system

Step 3: Dance naked on the moon.

Anyone got any insight into this shizznit?

No insight here, but glad to hear the SyncML support is spreading. I sure hope Apple will provide remote SyncML via .Mac at some point. That was actually one negative about MWSF. Two new PowerBooks with Bluetooth built-in, but no news on improved support with more devices.

Hey, Harald. Whatever happened to the successor to the T68i? We can now get the T68i for negative US$25 from Amazon.com, which means they're obviously on closeout. How much longer do I have to wait for the next generation?

Edd Dumbill is writing an open source SyncML server. Looks like it's just getting started.

    Interesting:

Starfish power the Sidekick ... Woz's new gizmo n'est-ce pas?

I found these guys &lt;www.space2go.de&gt; who have a solution that costs ?3 / month. It's worth it to me (you listening Apple?) ... I might check it out.

iSync won't directly export to these fellows. Maybe I can use the T68 as a staging post. What a pain in the ers. I wonder why they're not doing this ... ?

PS Escher I'm afraid I know no more about the T68 replacement
