TV on an iMac

Hi all. I have a 17" lcd iMac and I would like to be able to import and export tv. That is I would like to be able to record stuff off my tv with my mac and then play it back out on my tv. Anyone have some good sugestions on which hardware I should look at? Right now the formac studio dv/tv looks pretty good. Anyone have experience with it?

I have the formac studio and it's pretty good, not professional quality. But Hi8 Camcorder film can quite happily go into the computer, through iMovie, and back out onto a video tape and retain it's quality.
