I am new to the Mac world and have just purchased a G4 Sawtooth 350Mhz. I want to upgrade the processor and ask that anyone with knowledge of which vendors sell these upgrades and/or any advice for upgrading this system reply.

There is no such thing as a Sawtooth 350Mhz. The slowest Sawtooth model was a 450Mhz G4. You cannot upgrade the processor (as far as I know), you can add memory (check www.ramseeker.com) and the video card (best for this AGP 2x machine is the ATI 8500).
You can also add a hard drive on the unused ATA/66 slave connector above the factory installed drive.

There is, actually - it wasn't introduced with the first G4s in September '99, but later.
This dual processor/500MHz upgrade should work. Whether it's worth it is up to you, of course.
