thousands of emails

I DOWNLOADED IOS 7 ,NOW MY IPAD 2 KEEPS DOWNLOADING OLD  DELETED EMAILS .ANY HELP OUT THERE?

    I have a similar problem with Yahoo email. Suddenly the "sent" folder says I have sent four "trillion" emails. No idea of why it showed up suddenly or how to get rid of it.
