Thank you, Time
Just had my issue of Time Magazine delivered to me this morning. It hadn't really hit me how much of an impact being on the cover of Time is, until I got one.
I'm usually emailing people I know when new products come out, and get the "yawn... yeah... whatever" treatment. Now I am actually getting phone calls and emails from friends (even most of the PC using ones) commenting on how cool this iMac is.
Even my father-in-law, who is about as far from a computer loving person as you can get, read the entire article. He can't believe the scope of what this thing does. He said "You mean the computer, like all the inside of the computer, it's in this little thing here?"
I don't think Steve gives two hoots about the story leak now. This Time article is going to get Apple and this machine so much attention, it was worth it.

At one of my wife's parties she point out our new (at the time) iMac. One of the guest asked, "Where's the rest of it?". Honey, there's is no "rest of it". It's all there.

Sounds like a cheesy Apple commercial-style cliche
Yes, my Mac-ignorant best friend called me yesterday to tell me that she was totally blown away by the new iMac once she got her copy of Time in the mail. I'm not too keen on news magazines putting new products on their cover, but I'll keep quiet about it in this case
I still need to get a copy.

Me too
I wasn't even really looking for it, but there it was. So I lunged for it and flung it on the counter.
It's a pretty nice article. If I wasn't a Mac user, the cover, the article itself and the photos would seriously make me want to visit Apple's website and nearest retail store, and think long and hard about "going Mac".
