With MOT shedding people, could Apple pick up Metrowerks?

I'm not sure how important metrowerks is to Motorola's vision of embedded processors, but I wouldn't be surprised if a 'software' arm in a hardware/chip company kind of stands out like a sore thumb when head-chopping time rolls around.

    They just bought Metroworks just to do embeded work.

    I doubt Metrowerks would be any good for Apple and also Metrowerks is probably one of the two Motorollas divison that makes money. The other being.. er.. hm.
