Am I nuts or are Apple RAM prices on-par!

    that's will be a big event if Apple have the same prize than the current market.

    Yeah, their prices are only about 25% more than mail-order RAM now. Funny, because RAM prices are now going up again.

    I can just see it. 2 months from now, people will be saying "Anyone who doesn't buy their RAM from Apple is an idiot."

    Apple buys large amount of RAM in batches, they always have. When RAM prices are dropping rapidly, as they have for quite a while now, Apple is always stuck selling their memory at prices higher than typical. When RAM prices rise, however, Apple enjoys a period where they are still selling at the "old" price. This has happened several times over the past 15 or so years.

    What's this about ram prices going up? I was hoping they'd stay low til summer when I'm gonna get an iMac, but if they're going up, I'll just get one now.

    iDude, if you look around you'll see that they were a lot cheaper a few weeks ago.

    Looks like I will buy my 700 odd megs for my new iMac from Apple.
