A little too generous I would say as the iMac only has a 100MHz bus...

Also, I wish he would have mentioned the speed of the CDRWs and the SOFTWARE that makes the superdrive really useful: iDVD 2 Thats where the breakthrough was, not the hardware, the software... That mention would have blown the HP outa the water...

good points... but with a limited space he has to reach the lowest common denominator i.e. the wintel drones. Trying to explain IDVD2 would take at least another page

I do think his CPU comparisons are a bit lopsided. Besides, my attitude is that whatever you can do or get on a Mac, you can get on a PC. It's a matter of "how," not "what" and the ease-of-use factors (iApps, set-up, etc.) unfortunately aren't accounted for. Given that, yes, the iMac blows away stuff around it. He's starting to "get it."

I'm tired of this bus BS.

is there any proof that a 100Mhz bus is hurting a 700Mhz and 800Mhz G4 in performance?

You know what, guys? Consumers don't give a RAT'S ASS about bus speed. I consider myself a prosumer and I don't care about it. There's no way in hell my parents or friends would. Get over it...

I agree with you and applenut, but they need something to bitch about.
