Does Mal ware Bytes really get ride of malware when using it?

    I know that it helped me immensely a few years ago, and it indeed removed/quarantined all the malware on my PC.

    Yep - ditto here. I've used the free v for cleaning up pcs with great results.
    You don't need to have it running all the time.
    Update it once a month and scan once a month is usual practice.

    Is anyone using MacBooster?  What do you think of it?  

    Is it worth $60? Do you have a better suggestion?

    @ Sequitur - if you feel the need to run some kind of scanner on your Mac then use ClamX av - free.

    I used Clam Xav and it sucked. Nothing to write home about.

    Not for Macs.There doesn't seem to be Malware Bytes for Mac. Only alternatives like MacBooster, etc.

    Googling malware bytes brings up this site:  http://www.malwarebytesmac.org  showing MacBooster as an equivalent/alternative.
