Reliable server to host my shareware app?
Hi,
I have written a shareware app, that really isn't a big deal, but I'm going to unleash it on to the general public just in case someone buys it. Anyhow, I am looking for a quick and free way to upload it to the net so that people will be able to get at it (with decent download speeds). Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave
(As to the program, I will announce it once it is up and running)

I'm actually looking for sites to host the file, not just a link - any other ideas apart from Apple (iTools somehow never works for me)?

What type of shareware is it? What does it do?
Hosting is cheap.
4.95 US gives you 100MB of space
Thanks for all your help,
David
can I link directly to the file on Tucows (not an info page) from another site?

If you want free bandwith, it's not too much for them to ask that you link to their site rather than just the direct download. They have to pay for that bandwith you're using - you should let them have that tiny amount advertising revenue they get when somebody goes to the "info" page.
I use pair.com for my serving (web and files). They're very good and fairly priced.

(AI's going to censor the URL, but it's "the F word.")
