Recent Amazon trade-in experience?

I just jumped on the Best Buy student promotion for a new MacBook Air and will be selling my old MacBook. Has anyone had any recent experience with the Amazon trade-in program? Are they prone to try to downgrade the condition?

Here are the details:

Late 2008 aluminum 13.3" MacBook MB467LL/A

2.4 GHz - 2 GB RAM - 250 GB hard drive

Good working condition with normal slight wear.

I ran the numbers on Gazelle (I had a positive experience selling them another MacBook a few years back) and it said $168 which I didn't think was too awful after nearly 6 years...

Now I just looked at the Amazon trade-in website and they are saying $344 for Good condition and $215 for Acceptable. From the written description my machine should qualify as Good. But I am highly skeptical...that quote seems awfully high, no?

Thanks in advance for any comments!
