Actually I'm disappointed that the TRV-18 drops to a 2.5LCD. However the TRV-27 may occupy the same initial pricing as the TRV-17 so it may be a deal.

It's interesting to note that Firewire is out according to Sony's actions. All their 2002 HDTV products now use DVI-HDTV. Something makes me thnk Hollywood did not like the Copy Protection features of Firewire.

Who cares about that when Canon announced a bunch of new digital stills, including a 6 megapixel digital SLR?

It resides on the top of my list of things to buy when I make my million now. Or however much it'll cost.

Stop drooling at the Canon D60 because it seems the real hubbub is around the Foveon X3 CMOS imagers. Great stuff. Sigma plans to be the first with cameras based on these imagers with the SD9. Amazing clarity in the ISO resolution charts.

Olympus is the only major manufacturer who has been quiet at PMA 2002. I wonder what they have up their sleeves...

    Eugene,

I saw that...but no definitive reports other than blurbs on the Tech. I hear Kodak is all over this tech. I cross my fingers that it works out well. I'd like to see something revolutionary hit the market.

<edit> Good lord I saw some of the pics taken by prototypes....talk about Eye Popping color!!! I want one!(Gear Lust continues)
