2012 Macbook Air Turns on and off and on and off...
Okay, i don't think i've ever written on a forum for anything. But what's happening with my laptop is beyond annoying. About a year and a half ago my laptop charger broke. I haven't bought a new one until maybe 6 months ago. It worked perfectly until 3 months ago, I was using my laptop at night, turned it off and it didn't turn on in the morning. No matter what I did, it won't work. I tried everything even the SMC reset. My laptop charger says it's fully charged but the screen just won't turn on. So a week later I finally bought it to apple, and the guy removed the battery and placed it back again. He fixed it! Except a week later the same problem occurred, it wouldn't turn on. I bought it back a moth later, he "couldn't fix it" and suggested a 250 dollar repair. Of course i said no and I gave up. A month later out off curiosity, i plugged in my charger and it turned on! I was so happy, i bought it with me to vacation. But during vacation I shut it down, and of course it didn't turn on the next morning. It turned on again 5 days ago, and this morning it happened again and it won't work. So sorry for the long text. But has anyone been through this? What should I do? Is this normal?

Well, no.
Most probably, the Mag-safe port, or the battery has faulty connector pins.
I would also suspect a damaged (or slackly seated) CPU or GPU due to overheating or shock.
When the Apple guy suggested the $250 repair, did you ask him what exactly was the repair for?

A Macbook Air should be $129 plus tax but they might add on a service charge for checking out what's wrong with it.
Thanks Marvin unfortunately it's my only choice now but it is still rare that this is happening.
