Anyone had Word documents all turn red and frozen? What the heck could be causing this?
This happens maybe 1/4 of the time, and it doesn't seem to matter how many applications are open. Mmm, I couldn't say it happens with just one document open but definitely with only two as you can see.
My machine is a 13" Early 2011 MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz, 6GB RAM & memory pressure low, hard drive 1/3 empty, running 10.9.4). Office is 2008.
It's a work machine, and reloading Word or Office is not practical.
Someone had made a suggestion about deleting the .plist file-but while in Library --> Preferences I see one for Excel and one for PowerPoint, I don't see one for Word.
I fixed the Office database, which had been giving me an error message.
Help, this is driving me nuts, and Googling did not help...
