Issues with Family Sharing

I recently decided to opt into the Family Sharing feature with my wife. I have tons of iTunes movies and paid apps under my Apple ID and she wanted to be able to access them so the kids or herself can watch the movies and play the games on her phone without buying them again.

I invited her to join my "Family" and she accepted. I can see on my devices (iPhone and iPad) that she is part of my group, in the Settings tab. I am also able to view her past purchases on iTunes and the App Store. So that's all good.

The issue comes when she tries to view my purchaes on her iPad or iPhone. Again, under Settings/iCLoud/Family Share wer can she she is linked to me with full access as an adult member. Doesnt matter if we go to App Store or iTunes she never has the option to view my purchases. ANd if we just search the apps/movies in the store, they still come up as costing $ instead of "download from the cloud".

Anyone having these issues or know how I might be able to reslove them? We are both updated to the newest IOS version and using iPhone 5/5s and iPad 2/Air

Thanks for any help.

I have not had that problem, but if any of your kids are 12 and under ... beware.  Apple's Family Share … The Facebook customer experience at Apple!!!

I signed my children up for family share thinking it would be nice to monitor and/or share some items between us.  I soon discovered there are no controls and anything backed up to iCloud is shared.  My phone is now flooded with my 12 and under kids photos, calendars, notes, etc.  It appears my only option is to turn off their iCloud backups.  Can’t cancel their Apple ID, Can’t disconnect them from Family sharing as minors even though I am the admin and the parent.  Can't even stop Family sharing unless I transfer them to another group (who would that be??).  No way to disconnect, stop, terminate or anything short of buying him a new phone!!!

Apple’s response to me was “everything you are upset about was in the agreement you authorized when activating Family share” - the dreaded "I agree" button!!

This is definitely a Facebook customer experience.  DO NOT ACTIVATE FAMILY SHARING FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13 OR YOU ARE TRAPPED!
