Random pictures assigned to contacts in contact ap on 4s

As the title says, my phone has randomly assigned pictures to all off my contacts in the contact ap and they are not even close as to who the person is. I have to go thru my contact list one by one and delete the pic and find an appropriate one or delete them. Any idea where why this happes?
