which refurb macbook pro to get Retna 4 gig or or...
Looking for a macbook pro. On apple refurb site they have a retna one and a non retina one for almost the same price. They both have 4 gig of memory On the retna mac the memory is not user upgradeable. Is it better to go for the non retina one so I can easily upgrade to 8 gig? The non retina mac has 500 gig hard drive and was a 2012 model. The retina one was 2013 and has a flash drive 128meg both about the same price.

The Retina is $999 with 4GB and 128GB:

4GB is not good in either and 8GB would be $80-100 either via a BTO upgrade when purchasing new models or 3rd party afterwards. The following option would be the best IMO:

You get 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and the Retina display for $1159. That would last you much better over time.
