Police Brutality Apologists

I find it interesting that so many here are excusing the brutal, fascist, and racist tactics of police killing unarmed civilians. Especially ironic is the fact that these same people probably have a deep distrust of the government themselves and were also, hypocritically, on the side of that crazy lawless cattle rancher, Cliven Bundy. Many of them probably also agree with the anti-American speech of Ted Nugent, Sean Hannity, etc. I would guess that, had the Feds shot and killed the ARMED lawless cattle ranchers, that these same folks would be calling for armed revolution against the US (aka terrorism).

Why would so many here be calling unarmed African Americans "thugs" when the real thugs are the coward cops?

So a white police officer killing a white criminal is racist? :p

Maybe don’t rob a convenience store and attack a police officer and you won’t be called a thug? I dunno. Thug isn’t exactly the worst thing in the world to be called, even if it may be the worst way to act in a society.

Who’s apologizing for police brutality, anyway? I can’t imagine you’d find anyone who would say that it’s okay to arrest–or otherwise–punish those who haven’t committed a crime.

Cliven Bundy stole more than a million dollars in grazing fees from the US and pointed guns at Federal agents. This is a much larger crime than stealing crappy cigars and talking back to a police officer. The Feds would have been justified in taking out Bundy and his fellow anti American terrorists. Killing unarmed civilians for selling cigarettes, though, is a petty crime and doesn't deserve a death sentence. Even more troubling is the lack of concern on the part of the officers after killing these unarmed individuals (Brown, Garner, Rice, Gurley, etc)- no attempt was made to provide CPR or resessitate these individuals wrongly killed.

Ironic how right wingers like Palin, Nugent, Hannity, Limbaugh, Angle, etc encourage violence against the government yet are praised by the same folks who believe selling cigarettes and resisting arrest should be punished by death.

JMO, but you seem to be connecting wildly different legal matters that are not similar in order to condemn those with which you have a political disagreement. It's fine to disagree, but it's not reasonable to confuse a property rights issue with something less subtle.

Police brutality has no place in today's society. They train them to take down threatening people, but I also assume that they train the police on how to recognize a real threat versus a "fake" one. It seems that these two things are greatly imbalanced these days...
