Why does my Mac Die when I unplug my power cord?

I have reformatted my mac, installed OS X Yosemite but can't find the problem.

 

Long story short, my mac used to die at random times when plugged in, now I removed the power cord the mac dies regardless if the computer is charged or not. Cycle count is only 66 and mac is only 18 months old, surely I don't need to replace my battery.. Help!!

You can try resetting the SMC:

but if it says to replace the battery, there could be something wrong with it and not necessarily that it's worn out from overuse. They can stop functioning prematurely from underuse, maybe environment conditions (too hot, too cold etc). The prices for a replacement are here:
