ATTN MODS: changes to Forum Rules?

I was just changing some of the items under my profile, and when I tried to save it, I kept getting this error page listing the different kinds of characters I am not allowed to use. Thing is, I didn't use any of them in the items I was changing - it was used in my screen name (the trademark character I added on when the forums came back to life a few months ago). Oddly, when I chopped off the special character it let me save everything.



But the thing is, you never used to be able to change your screenname - wouldn't removing the TM thingy constitute exactly that in my case? [It still lists my normal post count, so I'm not sure what's going on....]

    humm... high-bit characters got turned off somehow.



    They're back on now...





    I swear, UBB has a mind of its own sometimes...

    No big deal...I was just wondering what was going on behind the scenes. I'll probably just leave my name as is to avoid problems later.
