Why is there an Intel Pentium IV add here on AppleInsider? I thought this was an Apple-related sight. What gives? <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
Most ad vendors/brokers only have fairly vague categories of ads like health and fitness, computers and technology, adult entertainment, wireless spy cams, etc etc. Since Macs happen to be computers/technology, that's probably why. But who knows, maybe they're targetting Mac users at the end of their rope or those of us who are multi-platform by choice (or by force) and have to go out and purchase our PCs just as we do our Macs.
If you are forced to use windows at work like I am, there is a program from panicware.com called pop-up stopper. I stops all popup windows on IE 5-6 and netscape. I works really well.

Do any companies have anything like that for Macs? (OS X)

We have contacted the ad broker and it's been removed. Apparently it takes a few weeks to go into effect.
