battery life 2014 vs 2015

So help me with this. The 2015 MB Air has the new Broadwelll chip. Not much else has changed

 

I understood the Broadwell chip is more efficient on the battery life (by about 90 minutes).

 

But when I look at the 2014 vs 2015 '13 inch MBA specs- they have the same battery life of 12 hours. Why did it not go up by 90 minutes?

 

Just curious.

    Broadwell is a minor upgrade to Haswell. Devices such as the Air won't see any major improvement to battery life until Intel's next CPU generation "Skylake" next year.
