Corrupt Backup
Hi
I need some help please. I updated my iPhone software to 8.2, however there was an error during the backup. I need to know how I can find an earlier backup that wan't corrupt to restore the information on my phone. I have lot many contacts, photo's etc.
I have a Mackbook Pro and did the update through iTunes, and I cannot see any of my previous uncorrupt backups here.
I urgently need some help please, because I cannot loose all of this information, that is why I have been doing regular backups.
Please HELP
Thanks
Cheryl

iTunes normally keeps only a single copy of the backup. Is your MBP backed up? If you are using OS X (and you'd be crazy not to) then you might have several versions backed up with Time Machine or a cloud service like Mozy or Carbonite. iTunes stores its backups in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/. Restore the folder in there to an earlier version and iTunes will probably have an uncorrupted backup to use.
You might also have your iPhone backed up to iCloud. If you have that then you can restore from that backup. You will probably find that you can view your pictures (or at least the most recent 1000 of them) from photo stream. If you have synced your contacts with your Mac then you can get those back even without one of the backups I mentioned earlier.
